The coffee shop’s new location is at 2105 S. Edgefield Ave., in Dallas, in an attempt to expand to other areas of Oak Cliff.
“This is a concept that is made for the neighborhood, so the neighborhood can meet up and hang out and see their neighbors, and you can walk there, and you can bike there,” said Elijah Salazar, owner of Peaberry Coffee, to The Dallas Morning News.
Peaberry Coffee’s first location has been in operation for four years, at 2446 W. Kiest Blvd.
The cafe has a menu full of various coffee options, and one of its most popular beverages is Kiestwood Iced Coffee, a canned coffee in a variety of flavors.
Bread and desserts from Lubellas Patisserie are also offered, as well as other breakfast options such as burritos.
“I think word of mouth spreads a lot,” Salazar said, adding that the shop is popular for people who want to work remotely. Peaberry is cashless and has wifi available.
The new Peaberry location opened this week, and it will host an opening event Sept. 3 with a pop-up market, food and music.
Salazar likes to serve his community and provide spaces where customers feel comfortable, and he wants to do more.
“What I’m trying to do is build the new staples that are a part of Oak Cliff,” Salazar said.
