More than 120 tons of frozen chicken strip meals recalled over contamination concerns

Someone reported after eating the product that they found plastic in their chicken strip and injured their mouth, according to the Food Safety and Inspection Service.

More than 245,000 pounds of chicken strips are under recall because they may be contaminated with pieces of plastic, a federal agency has announced.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service, an agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, said anyone who has bought a Banquet Chicken Strip Meal should check if their product is part of the recall.

Conagra Brands Inc., the parent company of Banquet, notified the federal agency that someone complained of plastic in a chicken strip and injured their mouth, according to a Saturday news release. This is the second time this year that the company has reported a possible contamination.
