2 women jailed after police say Denton traffic stop uncovered 600 fentanyl-laced pills

Maya Dharamsi, 20, and Sara St. Hilaire, 21, were arrested Tuesday without incident.

Two women are behind bars after a traffic stop earlier this week uncovered hundreds of fentanyl-laced pills, Denton police say.

According to the Denton Police Department, a narcotics investigation spanning the month of August led authorities to believe 20-year-old Maya Dharamsi was in possession of suspected fentanyl.

On Tuesday evening, detectives with a U.S. Marshals task force conducted a traffic stop and pulled over Dharamsi. According to police, roughly 600 fentanyl-laced pills and two grams of cocaine were found inside her car.
