Flipped home for sale offers blend of modern style and East Dallas charm

The Old Lake Highlands property was taken down to the studs before going on the market for just under $615,000.

Not far from White Rock Lake, Bath House Cultural Center and the Dallas Arboretum, there’s a home for sale that preserves the best of the community’s charm while offering fully updated living. The house at 434 Easton Road, in the Old Lake Highlands area, underwent a full update by local husband-and-wife flippers who have been transforming homes in East Dallas for years.

As you step inside, it’s easy to forget you’re standing in a home originally built in 1959. Everything is new: Sheetrock, lighting, flooring, appliances, cabinetry, interior doors and on-trend finishes come together for contemporary feel.

Listing agent Sunita Ali with NextHome NextGen Realty says that the renovation team began by tearing out dark, dingy woodwork and eliminating choppy, cramped spaces to make way for open, airy interiors that didn’t sacrifice functionality.

“The sellers were really strategic when they addressed the updated floor plan and details planned for the home,” she says. The design maximizes the home’s 1,721 square feet, which are styled in a sleek color palette: crisp white, moody black and a deep blue for unique touches, mixed with light- and medium-toned wood.

The interior features are as notable as the home’s look. Ali cites a well-designed kitchen with a quartz waterfall island, open lines of sight throughout the main space of the home, and abundant closet space. The bathrooms were designed with relaxation in mind, with stylish marble selections, lighting and plumbing fixtures. “This is anything but suburbia,” she shares of the three-bedroom, two-bath home.

The outside of the home also has a striking aesthetic. The renovation included painting the exterior a timeless charcoal gray; there’s also new front door, and the landscape got a facelift. Mature trees and large shrubs add a sense of privacy even in the middle of the neighborhood. The backyard features a covered patio and a tidy green space. There is also an attached two-car garage.

434 Easton Road is within walking distance of parks and schools. The home is listed for $614,999.
