Texas A&M lands commitment from 5-star DL Dominick McKinley

Five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley chose Texas A&M over offers from Texas, LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

247 Sports’ No. 1 Louisiana recruit for the class of 2024 announced his commitment before his game on Friday at Lafayette Acadiana High School. In the 2022 season, he tallied 86 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and two interceptions.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound prospect is the second-highest recruit in A&M’s 2024 class, behind five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman, according to 247 Sports. A&M’s 2024 class is ranked No. 5 in the 247 Sports’ recruiting rankings.

He is the third defensive lineman to commit to A&M, alongside four-star prospect Dealyn Evans out of Longview and three-star prospect Gabriel Reliford out of Shreveport, La.
